Community Events

Throughout the year, community events and festivals draw participants from around the region. In early summer, Bridgfest in Houghton draws crowds with live music, a parade, water events, and a seafood festival. The Parade of Nations in the fall celebrates diversity in the Keweenaw with a parade and an international food and music event. In the winter months, Michigan Tech hosts their renowned Winter Carnival, with the famed snow statue competition, hockey games, broomball, and live music. Numerous other festivals and events occur during every month of the year.
