Basic Job Functions: 
Blue Harbor Energy is a codeveloper of energy saving and renewable energy projects throughout North America.

The Energy Savings Sales Engineer's primary technical sales liaison between the customer, business development and the systems engineering group. Support the pre-contract engineering and sales process and the hand-off of signed contracts to the engineering/construction team.

Geographic territory: 
Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin

Experience: 
o 5 years professional sales experience preferably in a construction related field with 3+ years experience in commercial/industrial/utility industry
o Ability to provide high-level design and performance analysis of energy savings and renewable energy systems.
o Experience/knowledge of design and permitting process/activities for construction projects
o Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects in parallel

Required Skills:
o Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor
o Good written and oral communication skills
o Ability to assist with the engineering, and cost estimation of the procurement and construction of energy systems
o Proficiency in MS Office with a strong capability in Excel
o Proficiency or ability to learn energy savings simulation programs
o Willingness to travel up to 25% primarily on upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin


Essential Functions & Responsibilities o Support business development efforts on the conceptual design and cost estimating of medium and large commercial energy savings systems
o Attend off-site customer meetings and perform site assessments of potential PV projects
o Interact with customer technical and commercial staff during the project development process.
o Be technically proficient with lighting modules, HVAC/boiler systems and technical performance.
o Remain current on all customer and industry related news and events.
o Attend customer meetings and perform site visits for energy savings feasibility and pre-engineering phase
o Assist with new business development activities including customer presentations.
